Following publication of the Kent and Medway Local Nature Recovery Strategy, the Nature Recovery team at Kent County Council are now working with partners across the county to support delivery. To aid this, this page presents advice and guidance, to accompany the Strategy and support delivery. These toolkits will be added to during the life of the Strategy.
The Nature Recovery team
Kent County Council (KCC) is the Responsible Authority overseeing the delivery of the Strategy.
The KCC Nature Recovery team is in place to help facilitate stakeholders in delivering and embedding the Strategy.
The team are identifying where in the county work is being undertaken delivering on Strategy priorities and where the gaps are. This will help to clarify the focus of project facilitation. Please contact the team if you are involved in projects aligning with the Strategy or have projects you want to run.
Funding is of course vital and the team are already undertaking some larger funding bids, which if successful will allow multiple organisations to be involved in nature recovery projects.
The aim is to get as many nature recovery projects off the ground as possible, as well as supporting existing projects that are fulfilling the Strategy.
The team has prepared this range of toolkits to go with the Strategy to enable different sectors to take forward delivery. If there is anything you would like to see included on these pages or you have your own advice and expertise you’d be willing to share online, please contact the team at naturerecovery@kent.gov.uk
